Janice Gwendolyn Mizer Clark, 87, of Coshocton passed away on Thursday October 31, 2013 at Windsorwood Place. Janice was born in West Lafayette on February 20, 1926 to the late Samuel C. “Mike” and Charlotte Pfleghardt Mizer. She graduated from the West Lafayette High School in 1944; on August 11, 1946 she married Joseph E. Clark who preceded her in death on May 21, 1993.
Janice was employed at the finance department “payroll” of General Electric for over 38 years. While at GE, she was an officer in the Plastics Activity Club and Quarter Century Club. She enjoyed the Christmas parties and summer entertainment for the children and adults. Janice was a member of the Park United Methodist Church but worshiped with her family at the Calvary Baptist Church. She called all GE employees her extended family.
Janice is survived by her son Michael Clark of Cumming, GA; daughter Nancy (Max) Lingo of Coshocton; granddaughter Debbie (Scott) Kempf of Keene; grandson Andrew Clark of Roswell, GA; granddaughters Shannon (Shawn) Williams of Cumming, GA, Jennifer (Chris) Menocal of Alpharetta, GA; granddaughter in law Jayme Lingo of Bentonville, AR; great grandchildren Trent Lingo of West Lafayette, Phoebie Lingo of Bentonville, AR, Joshua and Owen Kempf of Keene, Kellan Williams and Taylor Menocal of Alpharetta, GA.
Along with her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Sam L. Mizer and sister Lois “Tyke” Mizer and her grandson Matt Lingo.
Graveside memorial services will be held in South Lawn Cemetery on Monday November 11, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Cal Searles officiating.
