Marvin A. "Junior" McCreery, Jr.

Marvin A. "Junior" McCreery, Jr., age 78, of Mineral City, passed away Thursday morning in Hennis Care Centre in Bolivar. He was born in Dover, a son of the late Marvin and Georgia Ann (Hardwidge) McCreery, Sr. and stepmother, Mae McCreery, and was a life resident of Mineral City.

Junior was a 1952 graduate of Mineral City High School. He retired in December 1986 from The Timken Co. in New Philadelphia, after 30 years service, where he was a machinist. Junior enjoyed working on his classic cars and loved his dogs. He served in the U. S. Army from 1956-58.

Preceded in death by a son, Randy Ornouski, and a brother and sister, Finley "Bill" McCreery and Clara Jane Link.

Survived by the mother of his children, Gloria McCreery, of Mineral City; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Randy Burkhart, of Bolivar, and Chris and Dan Fishley, of Mineral City; one son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Dusty McCreery, of Mineral City; three sisters, Maxine Elliott, of Mineral City, Edna Barbee, of Columbus, and Connie Knepper, of East Sparta; one brother, Dave McCreery, of Mineral City; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A Private service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Deacon Lynn Houze officiating. Interment in German Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Condolences may be sent to:
