duraPATCH Machine to Help Repair Uhrichsville Roads
Nathan Cozart Reporting
A new machine from the county could help Uhrichsville officials save some of the city’s deteriorating streets.
Service Director Joe Bollon says Council President Mark Haney informed officials that the county engineer’s office was looking to sell its duraPATCH machine, a device that is used to fill and repair potholes.
Bollon says spending $12,000 for the piece of equipment should save Uhrichsville both time and money in the long run.
After recent bouts of ice and snow, Bollon notes that this machine is a savior for Uhrichsville’s streets, which he says are “poor at best.”
Despite expressing interest, officials will have to wait until March to purchase the machine after the city’s 2014 budget is approved.
