Tuscarawas County Agricultural Society directors are saying good-bye to a vital part of the organization Sunday.

Fair Board Secretary/Treasurer Patty Arth will be honored at the Clover Café at the Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds Sunday from 2-4 pm after 28 dedicated years of service.

Arth, who retied at the end of 2011, jokes she grew into the job.



Board President Doug Wills, who has worked with Arth since 1990, says he will greatly miss her leadership.



Wills says he and Arth agreed on many things including the need to have a homemade dessert after every fair board meeting.



Wills jokes that Arth’s replacement, Leigh Maple of Uhrichsville, mirrors most of Arth’s abilities except for her baking.

Arth says Maple has already taken over the secretarial position.



Wills welcomes anyone who knows Arth to stop by the Clover Café Sunday from 2-4 pm to thank Arth for her many years of service.
