The city of Uhrichsville is looking to make things a bit more cost effective when it comes to fuel bidding.
Mayor Terry Culbertson says the city has entered into an agreement with Tuscarawas County to be placed on the list for the county's fuel bids.
According to Culbertson, taking this step has been discussed by council for some time.
Culbertson says the agreement was recently finalized between the city and the county.
Culbertson notes that the tentative plan is for county officials to let bids out sometime in mid-February and says that the quantity of fuel obtained by the county should help cut costs much more than by taking a traditional route.
Culbertson says that in addition to the agreement, city officials are working on combining fuel budgets for all departments into one line item to make the entire process of now purchasing fuel through the county more efficient.
