Peia Vinci (Vinciquerra)

Peia Vinci (Vinciquerra), age 95, of Waynesburg, passed away Saturday afternoon, May 25, 2015, in Aultman Hospital. She was born in Waynesburg on October 9, 1917, a daughter of the late Joseph and Clorinda (Martinelli) Mutigli, and was a life resident.

Peia had worked at the Italian-American Club and Helen’s Pizza. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and the Italian-American Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roma Vinci, on February 4, 1997, a sister, Merina Del Corso, and two brothers, Evio and Donald Mutigli.

Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Jim Adams, of Louisville; three grandchildren, Debra (Brian) Bricker, Kathleen (Todd) Collins, and Jeff (Paula) Adams; six great-grandchildren, Lauren, Kristen, Christopher, Makayla, Colby, and Brooke; one sister, Helen Carpino, of Waynesburg, and one brother and sister-in-law, Dean and Clara Mutigli, of Waynesburg.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Zamary as Celebrant. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery. Friends may call Wed. 6-8 p.m. at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Peia’s memory may be made to St. James Catholic Church.
