June 26, 2013 at Union Hospital Dover. He was born Tuesday, August 18, 1925
in Coshocton County to the late Walter Frederick and Alta Elnora (Everhart)
He retired from General Electric in 1987. He was a member of Bakersville Presbyterian Church and the American Legion Thomas C. Montgomery Post 431 in Newcomerstown. He loved tinkering on lawn mowers at his shop, Bob's Small Engines. Bob was very active at his church, the Bakersville Park and the Fire Department. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians, he loved to play the game of baseball in his younger days as well as play golf and bowl.
On Sunday December 30, 1951 he married Norma (Regula) McClure who survives. He is also survived by two daughters, Deena Gray of New Phila.,Cindy McClure of Newcomerstown; one son Bob McClure and his wife Patty of Newcomerstown; one grand daughter, Ember (Chris) Bryant; four step-grandchildren, Heidi Worthington, Tristan Mizer, Andy (Trisha) Gray and Dan (Shannon) Gray; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Sheely and her husband Gene of Plainfield, Mary Lou Carroll of Coshocton, Irene Tidball and her husband Jim of Plainfield.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Fisher and Ruby Wright and his son-in-law, Dan Gray.
Services will be Monday, July 01, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Bakersville Presbyterian
Church with Rev. Peter Mathewson officiating. Burial will be in Bakersville Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, June 30, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Addy Funeral Home. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Newcomerstown Veterans Honor Guard, Memorial contributions may be made to Bakersville Presbyterian Church.
