Joe retired in 1999 from Kopp Clay of Malvern and Mineral City, after 45 years service, where he had been Supt. of the Mineral City plant. He was a former member of the Dover Baptist Temple. Joe was an avid gardener, loved to go camping, hunt deer, and go mushroom hunting.
Preceded in death by a brother, David Arnold.
Survived by his wife, Thelma L. Arnold, with whom he celebrated their 39th Wedding Anniversary on March 2nd; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Ida Alvis, of DeBary, FL, Peggy and Tom Carrick, of Dellroy, and Linda and Bob Boswell, of Harrisburg, PA; four sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Linda Arnold, Jr., of Uhrichsville, Leslie and Georgia Arnold, of Magnolia, Randy and Cindy Pittman, of Minerva, and Thomas and Sherri Arnold, of Bolivar; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Esther and Dave Alberry, of Waynesburg, and Mary and Joseph Harlett, of North Canton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James and DeAnn Arnold, of Minerva, and John and Debbie Arnold, of Mineral City; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Sat. at 7 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Richard Harvey officiating. Friends may call two hours before the service on Sat. from 5-7 p.m. Contributions in Joe’s memory may be made to Community Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 716 Commercial Ave. SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
