She was a graduate of Old Washington High School in Barnsville, OH but felt her best lessons were learned from her father. He taught her to be honest, dependable and above all determined. She used these values throughout her working years and retiring from Sugardale after 23 years of service. One of her proudest jobs was as a Rosie the Riveter crane operator making parts for our US naval battleships during WWII. She was honored by local veteran organizations and the U.S. Federal Government for her war time service. Theoda was a long time member of the North Industry United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Hull, one sister and five brothers.
She is survived by three children, Beverly Hull Hurley of Canton, Sandra Hull Leake, and husband, Sanford Eugene Leake, Jr., of Wheaton, IL, Larry Paul Hull and wife Ellen McDade Hull of Ashville, NC; four grandchildren, Eric Hurley, David Hurley, Kimberly Leake Denny and Sanford Eugene Leake III; and five great grandchildren, Hannah Denny, Rosemarie Denny, Tristan Denny, Sanford Eugene Leake IV, and Kieley Leake.
According to her wishes, there will be no service following cremation. She died as she lived, caring for others and thus requested in lieu of flowers you feed a hungry child by making memorial donations to the Salvation Army, 420 Market Ave S, Canton, OH 44702, Heifer International (in the memo: USA Seeds of Change Project), 1 World Ave., Little Rock, AR 72202, or give to your local food bank.
