He was retired from Peoples Cartage Inc. and P-C Sales Inc. as president in 1989 after 45 years of service. He was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus #554 and the Massillon Museum. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and the time spent with family. In addition to his parents; a sister Jean Hodgson preceded in death.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Shirley (Girt) Sibila. They have seven children: Marc Sibila, Scott (Barbara) Sibila, Dennis (Linda) Sibila, Bruce Sibila, Kathleen (Jim) Singer, Ann Marie Sibila and Teresa (Steve) Grosswiler; his grandchildren Chad Sibila, Brian Sibila, Kelly (Shawn) Gore, Kimberly (Dave Cleland) Singer, Jonathan (Andrea) Sibila, Patricia (Matthew) Owca, Alicia (Tim) Evans, Matthew (Bobbie) Sibila, David Singer, Caroline Sibila, Valerie Sibila, Drew Grosswiler, and Jamie Grosswiler, eight great-grandchildren and a brother Ronald (Jane) Sibila survives.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Marys Catholic Church on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 1 P.M., Father Edward Gretchko will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the Paquelet Funeral Home from 6-8P.M. Memorials can be sent to St. Marys Church Memorial Fund.
