Joe served his country during World War II in the U.S. Coast Guard. After his military service, he went to work at The Timken Roller Bearing Company for 37 and a half years until his retirement. Joe was good with his hands, building several homes and being able to fix just about anything. He also enjoyed bowling in his spare time. He will be remembered as a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by his grandchildren: Jennifer (Bill) Loretto, Kimberly (Antoine) Loretto and Amy Loretto; his great-grandchildren: Taylor Butler, Austin Gerber, Mercedes Carter, Shay Siburt, Israel Carter, Aiden Bradley and Landon Carter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Joseph P. Loretto Jr., a sister and five brothers.
A graveside service will be held at East Union Lawn Cemetery in Navarre on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 11A.M. A luncheon will be held following the service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Joe's memory to the American Heart Association 4682 Douglas Circle NW, Canton OH 44718.
