Melvin Earl Neibert



Melvin Earl Neibert, 77, of Wainwright, died Monday, November 4, 2013 at his home following a period of declining health.
 
A son of the late Samuel and Amelia Neibert, Melvin was born December 14, 1935 in Crooked Run, Ohio.
 
Melvin was a former employee of Gradall at New Philadelphia and retired as a welder in 1991.  He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing with his companion, Shirley.  He was also a member of B & A Gun Club at Roswell.
 
He is survived by his 33 year companion, Shirley Smith; children, Jay (Christie) Smith of Freeport, Jack Smith of Baltic and Marlee (Mark) Beatty of Gnadenhutten; Daughter-in-law, Donna Smith of Newcomerstown; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Myron (Phyllis) Neibert of Ashland and many nieces and nephews.
 
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mabel Neibert; a son, Jason Smith and four brothers, Carl, Sam, Dave and Glen Neibert.
 
In keeping with Melvin’s wishes there will be no calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.
