James Bruce Licitri



James Bruce Licitri, 58, of New Franklin, passed away very unexpectedly early Wednesday morning, November 20, 2013.  Born June 3, 1955, in Akron, a son to the late James J. and Constance (Bordonaro) Licitri.

Jim graduated from Garfield High School with the Class of 1973, and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Akron.  Blessed with a quick imagination, a knack for problem solving and a wide range of interests, Jim also had a gift for making friends easily.  He used these talents to launch several small business ventures in the greater-Akron area and together with his wife Bobbi, found success with each of them.

He was currently serving as a board member on the Barberton-South Summit Chamber of Commerce and when his time allowed, would look forward to a round of golf and the chance to spend time with family and friends.

Predeceased by his parents and a daughter, Allyson; Jim is survived by his wife of nearly 10 years, Roberta L. “Bobbi” (McClintock) Licitri; a son, Alex Licitri, of Tallmadge; a step-son, Brennan Angle, of the home; sister, Eileen T. Licitri, of San Francisco, CA, brother, Joseph J. Licitri of Stow, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Monday, November 25, 2013, at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon with Very Reverend Fr. Louis Mahshie of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church of Akron as celebrant.  Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron.  The family will welcome guests on Sunday afternoon from 2-4:00 P.M., at the funeral home and one hour prior to the services, from 10-11:00 A.M., on Monday morning.  Recalling Jim's fondness of music, the family has suggested memorial contributions in his name be made in care of the Manchester High School Music Boosters, 437 West Nimisila Rd., Akron, Ohio  44319.
