Donna was a 1980 graduate of New Philadelphia High School who went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Kent State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Hiram College, as well as working toward her Master’s degree. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker in addition to her work as a registered nurse. She enjoyed volunteering at Wolf Timbers and had been active in Sharon Moravian Church.
On August 5, 1995, Donna married Ron D. McPeek, II who survives her at their home. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by four children, Andrew McPeek of New Philadelphia, Elizabeth McPeek of Malvern, and Seth and Jordan McPeek of the home; an expected grandchild; a sister, Rachel (Greg) Stallman of Waynesburg; father-in-law, Ron D. McPeek of Tuscarawas; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Kim and Albert Butcher, Mary Ann Milligan, Pat and Melinda McPeek; many nieces and nephews, including Julie (Mark) Oswald to whom she was especially close; and a dear friend, Juanita. She was preceded in death by her father and her mother-in-law, Ruth J. McPeek.
In keeping with Donna’s wishes, she has been cremated without a public visitation. A memorial service and celebration of her life, officiated by Pastor Tommy Miller, is planned for Thursday, December 5, at 6:00 p.m. in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Donna’s family will receive callers from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to her family in care of the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home, 26 Grant St., Dennison, OH 44621-1269 to help defray the cost of her final expenses, in lieu of flowers.
