He attended school in Conesville, Ohio, and then served in the U. S. Army during World War ll. Lloyd was employed at General Electric in Coshocton for many years, and later was the Retired Workers Coordinator with the Ohio AFL-CIO. He was an officer in the Local Steelworkers Union, a member of S.O.A.R., American Legion Post 65, VFW Post 1330, and AmVets Post 36. Lloyd worked with the handicapped in Coshocton County for many years, and was a member of the Coshocton County Handicapped Society, was also active with the Coshocton County Democratic Party, The United Way, the Board of Mental Retardation, and the Special Olympics.
On August 7, 1948, he married Margaret Holder Udder, who survives. He is also survived by his two children: Allan (Pokey) Udder of Adams Mills, Ohio, and Sandalynn (Terry) Henry of Newcomerstown, Ohio; his grandchildren: Corey Udder, David Udder, Rob (Soo) Henry, and Kristi (Matthew) Darr; five great-grandchildren; and his sister: Muriel Wills of North Canton, Ohio.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his son: Dane; and two brothers, and one sister.
Calling hours will be held at Given-Dawson Funeral Home in Coshocton, Ohio, on Thursday, December 5, 2013, from 3-5pm, and a funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, December 6, 2013, at 11:00am, with Rev. Robert Millspaugh officiating. Burial will be in Coshocton County Memory Gardens Cemetery, where the Coshocton Co. Veterans Council will perform military rites.
