Tom was also preceded in death by his wife, Lucille A. Yeager on April 14, 2012; brothers, Glen and Paul Yeager and his brother in law, Jack Peters.
Tom graduated from Carrollton High School in 1953 and proudly served his country in Germany with the United States Army. After his service, Tom was employed with the Timken Co. in Canton for over 31 years. Following his retirement, he opened his own business and was the owner and operator of Yeager Machine in Columbia, and finally retired for good after working for Snyder Manufacturing. Tom was very active with the Tuscarawas County Historical Society and served as a Trustee. He was a talented and handy person who could fix just about anything and loved helping his family and neighbors with any project they had. But most importantly, Tom enjoyed spending time with his family especially being able to travel back to Germany with his son this past September. A wonderful and loving father and grandfather, Tom will be sadly missed by his children, Daniel (Debbie) Yeager and Anne (Bill) Watkins both of Dover; grandchildren, Tiffany Yeager, Taryn (Nick) Jones and Samantha Watkins; great granddaughter, Sydney Zimmerman; three brothers including, Emmett (Nancy) Yeager of Carrollton and his sister in law, Delores Peters of Dover.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 8 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery at Dover. Friends can call in the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7 pm.
