A lifelong resident of the area, Paula attended Conotton Valley High School before beginning her long career as a nurses’ aide, much of which was spent at Cumberland Healthcare near Bowerston. Above all else, Paula was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who treasured the time that she spent with her family and friends. She also loved taking care of her dearest animal companions: Doodlebug, her cat, and Kody, her horse.
On June 18, 1983, Paula married William J. Hupp with whom she celebrated 30 years of marriage last summer. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Todd Edmonds of New Philadelphia; a daughter, Ashley (Ty) Cox of Gnadenhutten; grandchildren, Cole Thomas (Leah) Edmonds and Liam John Edmonds; sisters, Jane Best of Uhrichsville and Angel (Marty) Hupp of Tappan Lake; nieces and nephews, Jessica (Robert) Stucin, Andy (Allison) Hupp, Heather Best, Patrick Best, Hayley Hartline, and Jerimiah (Brittany) Hartline; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Caiden and Ashton Stucin, Rylee and Kohlson Hartline, and Lincoln Hartline.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Margie Best; a son, Charles Thomas “Tommy” Edmonds; a sister, Charlene McDaniel; and her parents-in-law, Patricia and Clarence Hupp.
Services for Paula, officiated by Pastor Max Canfield, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 21, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Visitation will be on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
