She was born December 3, 1963 in Canton, Ohio and was the daughter of James and Sandra Early Fields of Canton, who survive. She was preceded in death by a brother Jimmy Fields and a granddaughter Mackenzy Mallette.
Known by everyone to have a big heart, she had a strong and caring personality and took pride in helping others in need. In her spare time, she enjoyed the art of crocheting. Merri was very family oriented, and her primary focus in life was her relationship with her sons.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by five sons Michael P. Mallette, Jr. of Sherrodsville, O., Joseph A. Mallette of Dellroy, O., Lee (Nicole) Mallette and Benjamin Mallette, both of East Canton, O., and Patrick Mallette of Sherrodsville, three sisters, Jamie Fields of Canton, her twin Terri Fields of East Sparta, and Mrs. Richard (Tammi) White of Minerva, O., and her nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 Noon Thursday, January 23, 2014 in the Dellroy Christ Community Church, 20 East Main Street, Dellroy, O. with Pastor Ron Silver officiating. Interment will follow in the Leavittsville Cemetery . Calling hours will be held from 10:00 A.M. until time of services at noon in the church. The Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to help offset funeral expenses.
