He retired in 1982 from conrail at Canton after many years of employment. He was a member of the Bolivar Weslyan Church. He was an Army Veteran of WW II having served in Germany with the 84th Division 334-C Company known as the "Rail Splitters"
He was preceded in death by his first wife Geneva and is survived by his wife the former Delores Espenschied whom he married August 21, 1971.
Also surviving are a son Kenneth (Ollie) Corn of East Sparta; a step daughter Shirley Shaw of Salem, Ohio; a grandson Todd Browning of Alliance; a brother Irving (Bonnie Jean) Corn of Florida and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and first wife he was preceded in death by 2 brothers William and Frank Corn and a sister Millie Huggins.
In keeping with Jim's wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. The Lebold-Smith Funeral Home at Bolivar is handling the arrangements.
