Willis P. Wright

Willis P. Wright, 61, of New Philadelphia, Ohio died Monday, January 27,
2014 at his residence. He was born December 24, 1952 in Dover to the later
Clyde W. Wright Sr. and Florence I. (Welch) Smart.

He was a 1971 Newcomerstown High School graduate. He was employed at Beldon Brick for 23
years. He drove semi for Baker Hi-Way Express for 15 years and Nick Strimbu. He was a member of Kings United Methodist Church, Oxford Township. He was a member of the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ. He was a member of the Church of the Living God. He was a member of Potter's House Christian Fellowship Church of Ohio, New Philadelphia. He enjoyed spending time with
his sweetheart, kids, grandchildren and family. He also enjoyed fishing, horse shoes, football, and wrestling.

On August 24, 1975, he married his high school sweetheart, Brenda S. (Brown) Wright who survives. Also surviving are his children, Buddy (Laura) Wright of Port Washington, Angela (Philip) Russell of Newcomerstown, Steven (Donna) Wright of Tuscarawas; six very special grandchildren, Tyler Russell, Ashley Russell, Kara Wright, Ryan Wright, Marcus Dickey and Neha Dickey; step parents, Oscar (Wyema) Smart of New Philadelphia; one brother, Clyde (Sandy) Wright Jr. of Newcomerstown; one sister, Irene Kyle Wright of New Philadelphia; step brothers, Tom (Jean)
Smart of Casper, WY, Walter (Sandy) Smart of New Philadelphia; step sisters, Susan Burton and Sally (Tim) Franklin all of Murfreesboro, TN; brothers-in-law, William (Ruth) Brown Jr. of Crooksville, James (Lois) Brown of Lancaster, Harold (Brenda) Brown of Mount Vernon, Donald (Karen) Brown of
New Philadelphia; sister-in-law, Linda (Tim) Lawton of Angola, IN; special aunt, Mary Welch of Newcomerstown; uncle and aunt, Glen and Bertha England of Newcomerstown; uncle, Charles Welch of Newcomerstown.

In addition to his parents, Willis was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Alice Gardner Welch; brother, James Wright; in-laws, James and Janice Miller; father-in-law, William Brown Sr.; and brother-in-law, Timothy J. Brown.

Services will be Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Addy Funeral Home, Newcomerstown with Pastor Thomas Cunningham and Pastor Robert Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Kings Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, February 3, 2014 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Addy Funeral Home.
